Cascade Symphony Orchestra: The concert “Pathetique,” featuring French hornist Jeffrey Fair, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 9 at Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N, Edmonds. The program includes Tchiakovsky’s “Symphony No. 6 in B minor” — the “Pathetique,” Mozart’s “Horn Concerto No. 3” and Saint-Saens’ “Morceau de Concert for Horn and Orchestra.” Tickets $27, $10 for students with ID, $5 for children and $22 for seniors.
Darmon Meader with Soundsation: Edmonds Community College’s award-winning jazz choir performs with singer Darmon Meader at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18, Black Box Theater, EdCC, 20000 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. Tickets $12.
Adam Miller: The autoharpist performs at 2 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. Free. One of the premier autoharpists in the world, Miller also is a renowned American folksinger and natural-born storyteller. An accomplished folklorist, historian, musicologist and song-collector, he has amassed a repertoire of more than 5,000 songs. Miller accompanies his rich, resonant baritone voice with lively finger-picking acoustic guitar and beautiful autoharp melodies. A masterful entertainer, he never fails to get his audience singing along. For all ages.
Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra: The concert “Basie Bash: New York, 1937” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28, Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. Tickets are $35, with discounts for seniors. All jazz fans age 25 and younger are admitted for only $10. Call 425-275-9595.
Pacifica Chamber Orchestra: The annual Sunshine Concert is 3 p.m. Jan. 29, First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Director Fred Chu will perform Piazzolla’s “Oblivion” arranged for violin and string orchestra. Tickets are $20 general admission, $15 for students and seniors.

Blues and Brews Thursdays: Marysville Kiwanis Club joins the city in offering blues music and brews from a local microbrewery from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the third Thursdays at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St.; 360-363-8400. $5 at the door. The entertainment returns in January with Blues Dues on Jan. 18; Margaret Wilder Band, Feb. 16; and the Gin Joints March 16.
