These dogs at Everett Animal Shelter are ready to be adopted
Athena is a sweet, shy girl looking for a home that will be patient with her while she settles in. Any dogs in the home should be around her size and come for a meet and greet. Athena’s previous owner said she does okay with kids that are over 10 yrs old and respectful of her space. We aren’t sure how she will do with cats since shes never been near them before. Athena knows lots of commands including play dead! She is a great hiking buddy and loves to play! Athena suffers from separation anxiety which can be managed with actual training classes and time. She should be in a home where someone is home most of the time until her anxiety is managed. Athena is not suited for apartments since she can be vocal when left alone. Penny is a lovely young girl who is looking for an active home. She can be a little shy at first but warms up fast. Penny cannot live with other animals and children should be 12 and up and dog savvy. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
