Everett Animal Shelter has a few new dogs to adopt
Hero is a young head strong Akita. His new home must have experience with the breed. He has lived with other dogs and done OK but should have a meet and greet with any resident dogs prior to adoption. He has never lived with cats and his new home should be feline free. He is an escape artist so his new home must have a secured fenced yard. Hero is very strong and is not leash trained. Any children in the home should be over 13 years old and. Manchas is a very shy dog looking for a calm home that can help him become more confident. He has lived with other dogs his size and done well. Any children in the home should be over 13 years old and be able to give Manchas his space. It will take sometime for him to trust his new family. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Scrappy is a fun little guy with some anxiety issues. He loves to fetch, play with toys and cuddle! His new home should be ready to get Scrappy’s separation anxiety under control. He barks and cries when left alone so he is not suited for apartment living. He will need a meet and greet with any resident canines. His new home needs to be feline free and any children in the home should be over 13 years old. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
