Prep football: Meadowdale 44, Marysville Getchell 8

EDMONDS — A dominating 30-point first quarter behind four rushing touchdowns enabled Meadowdale to coast to its second win of the season against Marysville Getchell. The Mavericks received two touchdowns each from Kyle Newsom and Chace Diemond. Marysville Getchell saw some slight improvements in the program’s second career football contest as quarterback Dylan Diedrich connected with Kaleb Seymer for its first touchdown and the team outgained the Mavericks 177 yards to 100 on the ground. The Chargers were shut out 40-0 against Lindbergh in their inaugural game last week.
