WHL schedule relased

The WHL has released its 2011-12 schedule. Unfortunately, this is just a master schedule by list and isn’t broken down by team at all. Hopefully the Tips will be releasing a version that includes just Everett’s schedul

e later today.

Here’s the brief rundown. The Tips open the season at Portland on Friday, Sept. 23. Everett’s home opener is the next night against Kelowna. No eight-game homestand to open the season this year. Everett’s road trip through the Central Division takes place in late October and early November this year, with a game at Spokane tacked on to the end. However, no home games the last weekend of the season again.

Some other schedule notes: No games the second weekend of the season. … Moose Jaw is the New Year’s Eve opponent this year. … Prince George trip in late January. … Victoria trip (two games) in early February, on a Tuesday-Wednesday. … Four straight on the road to end the season, preceded by a seven-game homestand. … Busy January with 15 games. … Six three-in-threes.
