SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Mountlake Terrace took the 3A District 1 softball championship with a 7-4 win against Everett at Janicki Fields on Friday night. Familiar opponents as Wesco 3A’s top two regular season teams, the Hawks and Seagulls had already clinched state playoff berths with wins on Wednesday.

Terrace put together three-run scoring bursts in the fourth and seventh innings and notched its final run in the fifth. Everett scored its three runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Pitcher Rene Bos had the win on the mound for Mountlake Terrace, pitching a complete game with three strikeouts and two walks. She gave up four runs on seven hits. Bos batted 3-for-4 with a double and two runs. Terrace’s Maddy Kristjanson had a 2-for-4 performance with a double and two RBI.

Everett’s Anna Hudson homered twice, finishing 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. CJ Shaver hit a double and batted 1-for-3 for the Seagulls.
