Prep baseball: Arlington 2, Monroe 1

ARLINGTON — Colton Hordyk didn’t manage a hit for Arlington, but knocked in a pair of runs, which was enough for the Eagles to capture the Wesco North contest. Hordyk recorded a sacrifice fly in the first and then his ground out in the third allowed Clay Trushinsky to score from third. Trushinsky hit 2-for-2 with a double. Monroe’s Aaron hatch homered in the sixth but the Bearcats only managed three other baserunners. Both Kyle Hopkins and Austin Taylor tossed complete games. Taylor fanned seven against just two walks to get the win.
