MARYSVILLE — Eric Lawson hit a lead-off, solo home run in the top of the eighth inning, which proved to be the decisive run in Archbishop Murphy’s Cascade Conference victory. In the top of the seventh, Alex Galgano had tied the game for the Wildcats at 1-1 on an RBI-double that scored Alexander Clouse. Archbishop Murphy reliever Marcus Burdyshaw got the win in two innings on the mound, escaping a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the seventh with a strikeout. Murphy’s Lawson finished 2-for-4. Lakewood’s Josh Linscott batted 2-for-3 with a double and run.
