Prep baseball: Monroe 5, Stanwood 1

MONROE — Monroe’s Jakob Wegenast hit 2-for-3 with two RBI to lead the Bearcats to the Wesco North win. Teammate Troy Mantie added a home run and Aaron Hatch finished 2-for-3. Stanwood pitcher Tyler Givens pitched a complete game and allowed only one earned run.
