Prep baseball: Lakewood 11, Sultan 7

MARYSVILLE — Lakewood (1-0) got a big contribution from starting pitcher Andrew Bean, who hit a three-run homer in the third inning to give the Cougars the lead. Kevin Harnden followed that homer with one his own and finished the game 2-for-4. Sultan (0-1) was led by Josh Leverette, who was 2-for-3 with a home run, double and three RBI. Bean (1-0) got the win for Lakewoood, who used four pitchers in the victory.
