Free exhibition tonight

The fourth annual Synchronized Skating Exhibition is tonight at Comcast Community Ice Rink, 2000 Hewitt Ave. in Everett.

Admission is free.

The Everett Silver Blades will skate as will three teams from British Columbia, Canada, representing the Pacific Ice Synchronized Skating Club.

Nine skaters from the Bellingham Figure Skating Club will also perform with others from Seattle Ice Theater.

Skating begins at 6:45 tonight.

Help with service project on Jan. 17: The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program seeks volunteers 55 and older to participate in a Martin Luther King Jr. Day service project.

Volunteers will supervise groups of students, who will be assigned to help senior or disabled adults in the community.

The day kicks off at 9 a.m. Jan. 17 at YMCA branches in Marysville, 6420 60th Drive NE; Everett, 2720 Rockefeller Ave.; and Mukilteo, 10601 47th Place.

Join the group at 10 this morning at Central Lutheran Church, 2702 Rockefeller Ave, in Everett.
