Help at shelter
The Snohomish Cold Weather Shelter will enter its fourth season this winter. The shelter, at Snohomish Evangelical Free Church, opens when the forecast calls for temperatures of 34 degrees or colder, giving individuals and families a warm place to spend the night.
Volunteers are needed. Free training — or an opportunity to just learn more about the shelter — is offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 25 and 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 30. The church is at 210 Avenue B.
Prospective volunteers must complete some work ahead of the training session.
