Girl rescued from Stillaguamish River in stable condition

ARLINGTON — A 16-year-old girl who was rescued from the Stillaguamish River was listed in critical, but stable condition Wednesday.
She had been swimming with other teens Tuesday at Twin Rivers Park, just off of Highway 530.
Parkgoers spotted her at the bottom of the river and pulled her ashore, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. A bystander began CPR until paramedics arrived.
She had been underwater for about three minutes.
The girl was taken to a local hospital and airlifted to Seattle Children’s Hospital, according to the sheriff’s office.
