WAYS TO HELP

Purple light nights

The Mountlake Terrace Police Department is handing out purple lights in October, a month that has been dedicated to domestic-violence awareness. People are encouraged to display the lights in windows for others to see. The lights are a part of a decade-long campaign to show support for domestic-violence survivors and to remember people who have lost their lives. There is a limited supply of purple lights.
