Edmonds’ Diversity Film Series continues
The Edmonds Diversity Commission continues its Diversity Film Series with a free showing of “Swim Team” at noon Saturday at the Edmonds Theater, 415 Main St. The film tells the story of the parents of a New Jersey boy on the autism spectrum who form a competitive swim team.

Learn about world’s insects at the library
Entomologist Don Ehlen brings more than 2,100 insect specimens from around the world to a kid-friendly program, 2 p.m. Saturday at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. Learn about the different types of arthropods, such as insects, spiders, centipedes, butterflies, bees and more.

Turkey Trot benefits Lynnwood Food Bank
Robert Burns Lodge 243 holds its annual Turkey Trot 5k run at 8 a.m. Nov. 23, starting from and ending at the Lynnwood Transit Center, 20100 48th Ave. W. Registration is $15 in advance, online at www.eventbrite.com, $20 the day of the event. Proceeds benefit the Lynnwood Food Bank. The friendly out-and-back course follows the Interurban Trail.

Eat Norwegian pancakes for a cause
A Norwegian Pancake Breakfast is served from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 2111 117th Ave. NE. Proceeds this month benefit the Lake Stevens Food Bank. Cost is $6; children younger than 4 are free.

Snohomish: The Bali Bazaar includes a presentation at 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Cross View Church, 604 Ave. C. Proceeds benefit My Father’s Home, a nonprofit orphanage in Bali, Indonesia, administered by Lake Stevens couple Kim and Brian Boyer. Find handcrafted items from Bali.
