Zonta presents ‘Long Night’
The Zonta Club of Everett shows the feature-length documentary, “The Long Night,” about sex trafficking along the I-5 corridor, 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Marysville Library, 6120 Grove St. Presented with the Snohomish County League of Women Voters. Admission is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required.

Stuffy sleepover in Snohomish
Children can bring their stuffed animal to story time at the Snohomish Library, then let them stay for a stuffy sleepover and come back the next day to discover what they did when the library lights went out. The event is Dec. 20-21. Registration is required in advance.

Help with chores
Volunteer Services, a program of Catholic Community Services, seeks volunteers to assist with household chores, yard care, transportation and other tasks that enable elders, veterans and adults with disabilities to remain independent in their own homes. Volunteers typically serve two to eight hours per month.

Several local support groups exist for caregivers, to help those dealing with the challenges of unpaid caregiving. Here are some of them:
The Alzheimer’s Association keeps a list of local support groups. Groups for caregivers are available in Arlington, Bothell, Edmonds, Everett, Lynnwood and Snohomish.

A Caring for the Caregiver support group meets at 10 a.m. on third Tuesdays at the Ken Baxter Community Center, 514 Delta Ave., Marysville.
