EVENTS

Learn about new park

The city of Everett plans two public meetings about the potential new park in the Glacier View neighborhood.

A park is planned on the former Everett School District property at 4730 Colby Ave. That also is the expected site of the new Everett YMCA. Some of the details about the partnership, such as public swimming hours at the YMCA, remain under negotiation. The YMCA expects to break ground next year.

Neighbors are asked to provide input for the park. The first meeting is set for 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at the old school board meeting room on site. The second meeting is 7 p.m. Jan. 9 at Forest Park’s Spruce Hall.
