Scheppele, a sophomore, hit a layup at the buzzer to give the Eagles a 48-46 win over Shorecrest in a Wesco 3A matchup.
Donelle Meriwether, G, Cascade
Meriwether, a senior, made two free throws to with six seconds remaining to help the Bruins beat Mariner 59-58 in a Wesco 4A showdown. Meriwether led all scorers with 24 in the game.
Sadie Hutchinson, W, Granite Falls
Hutchinson, a junior, led all scorers with 26 points, but the Tigers fell just short in a 56-56 Cascade Conference defeat against Cedar Park Christian.
Isaac Ortega, Stanwood wrestling
Ortega, a freshman 132-pounder, upset Arlington senior Brantly Stupey in the Wesco 3A North sub-regional quarterfinal, winning a 5-3 decision.
Michai Harris, Lakewood
Harris, a junior, scored 11 of his game-high 27 points in the fourth quarter in the Cougars’ 80-75 road upset of previously undefeated Lynden Christian. Harris also grabbed seven rebounds in the victory.
