Food Truck Fridays: U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen will make an appearance on Food Truck Friday at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 31 at the Port of Everett Marina. A variety of food trucks park in the South Marina parking lot between Port Gardner Landing and Marina Village at 1205 Craftsman Way, Suite 200, Everett on Fridays through September. Snack Shack: Through September, volunteers at the Edmonds Senior Center are selling ice cream, chips and nuts at the Snack Shack from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday in front of the center at 220 Railroad Ave., Edmonds. Happy Hour on the Strato Deck: Every Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Future of Flight, 8415 Paine Field Blvd., Mukilteo; 425-438-8100; www.futureofflight.org. Beer, wine and bites from Red Cork Bistro & Catering available for purchase. Also: Sports on the big screens, music in the background, and maybe even an airplane taking off or landing at Paine Field.
Farm to Table: Kristoferson Farm is hosting its next monthly dinner at 6 p.m. Sept. 15 at its century-old barn, 332 NE Camano Drive, Camano Island. The menu will feature Knudsen Vineyards’ wine, as well as food grown on Camano Island farms. Reservations are required. New wineries, vineyards and cellars are featured each month. Hope Within Luncheon: Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County is hosting its 13th annual Hope Within Luncheon at noon Oct. 4 at the Angel of the Winds Casino, 3438 Stoluckquamish Lane, Arlington. The keynote speaker is educator, filmmaker and author Jackson Katz, whose Mentors in Violence Prevention program is used by the U.S. military and various sporting organizations.
