Silvertips fall in shootout

KENT — The Seattle Thunderbirds recorded a 4-3 shootout victory over the Everett Silvertips on Tuesday in a preseason game at ShoWare Center.

The Thunderbirds took an early 2-0 lead, but Sean Richards and Bryce Kindopp scored first-period goals to tie the game at 2-2.

After Seattle scored in the second period to take a 3-2 advantage, Kindopp scored his second goal of the game in the third period to tie the game at 3-3.

Luke Ormsby, Dawson Butt, Richards, Martin Fusko-Rudas, Conrad Mitchell and Alex Moar registered assists for the Silvertips.

Blake Lyda recorded 40 saves for Everett (2-1-1-2), which will play host to the Thunderbirds on Saturday.
