Body of Marysville man found down embankment near Darrington

DARRINGTON — A man found dead off the Mountain Loop Highway has been identified as Kevin G. Crews, of Marysville.

Crews’ abandonded vehicle was found on the morning of Nov. 14, roughly where the road south of Darrington switches from asphalt to gravel.

A search team found the body of Crews, 64, about a half-mile away, down an embankment.

Deputies said it appeared he’d become disoriented and walked off a trail.

The cause and manner of death were still pending investigation Tuesday, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
