Here are the prep stars for Friday, Dec. 21:
Malakhi Knight, Marysville Getchell
Knight, a sophomore, nearly posted a triple-double, scoring 33 points to go along with nine rebounds, eight assists and four steals in the Chargers’ 73-62 victory over Meadowdale. Knight’s 33 points are a Marysville Getchell school single-game school record, according to Chargers coach Corby Schuh.
Mason Christianson, Mountlake Terrace
Christianson, a junior, poured in 28 points, netting 11 of the Hawks’ 20 points in the fourth quarter, as Mountlake Terraced edged Arlington 69-67. Christianson added four rebounds, four assists and four steals in the winning effort.
Josh Gutierrez, Arlington
Gutierrez, a senior, scored a game-high 30 points in the Eagles’ loss to Mountlake Terrace.
Michai Harris, Lakewood
Harris, a junior, notched a team-high 26 points in the Cougars’ 80-70 win over Blaine.
Kiana Yesiki, Archbishop Murphy
Yesiki, a freshman, scored 14 points in the Wildcats’ 56-19 victory over Marysville Pilchuck.
Adrienne Poling, Edmonds-Woodway
Poling, a senior, netted 23 points in the Warriors’ 71-38 rout over Everett.
Amayah Kirkman, Lynnwood
Kirkman, a senior, posted another 20-point performance, tallying 24 on Friday night, in the Royals’ 65-45 win over Oak Harbor.
Mikail Montez, Marysville Getchell
Montez, a senior, scored 17 points in the Chargers’ 52-50 win over Meadowdale.
