The prep stars for Saturday, April 27:

Katherine Potts, Glacier Peak, track and field

Potts, a senior, won the discus at the Shoreline Invitational with a throw of 131 feet, 9 inches. She also finished sixth in the shot put with a personal best of 37-4.

Jonathan Birchman, Shorewood, track and field

Birchman, a junior, finished first in both the 110 hurdles (14.37 seconds) and the 300 hurdles (39.40) at the Shoreline Invitational. Birchman recorded personal-best times in each event.

Mikail Montez, Marysville Getchell, track and field

Montez, a senior, finished first in the shot put (40-5.5) and the discus (115-4) — with personal bests in both events — at the Tomahawk Classic in Marysville.

Jayden White, Everett, track and field

White, a junior, won the shot put with a throw of 52-11 and the discus with a toss of 142-3 at the Tomahawk Classic in Marysville.

Julia Parra, Arlington, track and field

Parra, a junior, won the shot put with a throw of 38-3.25 and the discus with a throw of 130-2, both personals bests, at the Lakewood Invitational.

Joshua Gutierrez, Arlington, track and field

Gutierrez, a senior, won the long jump (19-6.5) and the triple jump (42-6.5) at the Lakewood Invitational.
