Five-run seventh innings powers AquaSox past Spokane

SPOKANE — Patrick Frick’s two-run single broke a 2-2 tie in the seventh inning and the Everett AquaSox went on to beat the Spokane Indians 6-3 in Northwest League baseball action Sunday.

The AquaSox have won two straight.

The single by Frick came in the midst of a five-run inning. Later in the frame, Cash Gladfelter hit a two-run home run, his second HR of the season.

In the bottom of the seventh, Spokane cut into the deficit on a single by Luis Asuncion that scored Cristian Inoa.

Matt Martin (2-1) got the win in relief for Everett. He threw three innings, allowed just one run and struck out five.

Nic Laio (2-1) took the loss for Spokane.

In the losing effort, the Indians recorded a season-high five doubles.
