Adopt a couple of dogs that need special living situations
Benny is a very strong young dog! He will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and a feline free home. Any children in the home need to be over the age of 12 years and able to help in training. Benny is not suited for apartment style living. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Mary Jane is an extremely shy young dog looking for her new family! She has lived with other dogs and cats. She is not housebroken so her new family should be ready to start training right away. Mary Jane is not suited for apartment living and will bark when left alone. Mary Jane does not like children and should not be around them. Her new home should be ready to help her become a more confident, well-adjusted dog. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
