Matthew King, Glacier Peak boys swim and dive
King, a senior, recorded state-record times in the 50-yard freestyle and 100 freestyle at the Class 4A state swim and dive championships. King finished the 50 freestyle in 19.81 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 43.24 seconds.
Alivia White, Marysville Pilchuck girls wrestling
White, a freshman, needed just 33 seconds to pin Connell’s Rosa Saucedo-Ramirez to win the final 190-pound state title at Mat Classic XXXII. White pinned two-time 190-pound defending state champion Ofa He Lot Tuifua of Kent Meridian in the semifinals.
Cayden White, Marysville Pilchuck boys wrestling
White, a senior, beat Lakes’ Jaedon Hall with a 5-1 decision to earn the 3A state title at 182 pounds.
Alex Rapelje, Edmonds-Woodway boys wrestling
Rapelje, a sophomore, earned a 4-2 decision of Prairie’s Jason Wilcox to claim the 138-pound title at Mat Classic XXXII.
Isaac Poole, Shorewood boys swim and dive
Poole, a senior, won the 3A state diving title with a final score of 446.65 points. Poole finished 39.95 points in front of his nearest competitor.
Malakhi Knight, Marysville Getchell boys basketball
Knight, a junior guard, shot 8 of 12 from the field, scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Chargers clinched their first-ever trip to the regional round of the state tournament with a 50-40 victory over Meadowdale in a winner-to-state, loser-out Class 3A Northwest District Tournament game. Knight netted nine of his 22 points in the fourth quarter as Marysville Getchell outscored the Mavericks 19-11.
Caleb Rivera, Darrington boys basketball
Rivera, a senior, poured in 28 points as the Loggers topped Auburn Adventist 49-47 in a 2B tri-district tournament game to earn a berth to state regionals.
