MARYSVILLE — Three people and a dog escaped a house fire that caused a partial collapse of the home’s roof Sunday afternoon.

The two-story home in the 6600 block of 81st Drive NE was reported on fire around 1:30 p.m. Marysville firefighters stopped the flames that took out part of the roof.

The three adults and dog were not hurt, but a pet turtle died, according to the Marysville Fire District. Red Cross was assisting the survivors.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal was investigating the cause.
