Top prep swimmers, divers in Wesco this season

The top swimmers and divers in Wesco this season.

Note: Times are compiled from numbers reported to the Wesco time trial ladder. 16 of 19 teams have participated.

Swimmers

Madelynn Butler, jr., Lake Stevens

Butler leads the Class 4A Wesco ladder in four different events. She’s holds the No. 1 spot in the 50-yard freestyle (24.73 seconds), 100 freestyle (54.39), 500 freestyle (5:28.31), 1oo butterfly (59.79) and is second in the 100 breaststroke. Her times in the 50 and 100 freestyle and the 100 butterfly are best among both classifications.

Abigail Crum, sr., Shorecrest

Crum leads the 3A ladder in 50 backstroke with a time of 21.28 seconds. She’s also second in the 100 backstroke.

Summer Dean, soph., Everett

Dean is on top of the 3A ladder in the 200 freestyle (2:00.55), 500 freestyle (5:24.77) and 200 individual medley (2:19.73). She’s also third in the 100 backstroke. Her times in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle are best among both classifications.

Paige Donner, sr., Monroe

Donner leads the 3A ladder in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.69 seconds.

Savannah Foley, soph., Lake Stevens

Foley ranks second on the 4A ladder in the 50 freestyle and third in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.

Aislinn Kessinger, sr., Cascade

Kessinger is second on the 3A ladder in the 50 freestyle, just .01 seconds behind first place. She’s also second in the 200 freestyle and 50 backstroke and third in the 100 freestyle.

Sophia Ryu, soph., Kamiak

Ryu’s time of 1:10.3 in the 100 breaststroke is No. 1 on the 4A Wesco ladder. She’s also second in the 100 butterfly. Her time in the 100 breaststroke is best among both classifications.

Claire Smith, fr., Kamiak

Smith has the top 4A ladder time in the 200 freestyle (2:05.71), 50 backstroke (28.99), 100 backstroke (1:02.81) and the 200 individual medley (2:17.56). She’s also second in the 100 and 500 freestyles and third in the 50 freestyle. Her time in the 50 and 100 backstroke and 200 individual medley are best amongst both classifications.

Anna Veazey, sr., Stanwood

Veazey tops the 3A ladder in the 100 freestyle (56.82), 100 backstroke (1:04.12) and 100 butterfly (1:02.65). She’s also third in the 50 and 200 freestyles.

Divers

Kayli Kersavage, sr. Snohomish

Kersavage, a three-time state diving champion, leads the 3A ladder with an 11-dive score of 411 points. Her score is best among both classifications.

Lauren Wierschke, soph., Jackson

Wierschke leads divers of the 4A ladder with an 11-dive score of 342.7 points.

Connie Chen, sr., Kamiak

Chen is second in the 4A ladder with an 11-dive score of 329.85 points.
