EVERETT — The Portland Winterhawks rallied from a three-goal deficit to force overtime, including a goal with just under two minutes to play in the third period, and handed the Everett Silvertips their first loss of the season, 4-3, in a shootout.

The Silvertips raced out to an early lead with goals from Hunter Campbell, Ronon Seeley and Dylan Anderson in the first period.

Cross Hanas scored on a power-play in the second period to put the Winterhawks on the board, before Tyson Kozak and Clay Hanus scored in the third to force overtime.

After a scoreless extra period, Hanas scored the only goal in the shootout to give Portland the win.

Braden Holt stopped 24 of 27 shots for Everett (6-0-0-1).

Dante Giannuzzi stopped 36 of 39 shots for Portland (4-5-0-1).
