Cascade 68, Mount Vernon 56

MOUNT VERNON — Ninth-seeded Cascade beat No. 5 Mount Vernon in a 3A District 1 Tournament consolation loser-out game on Wednesday night.

Cascade (10-10) advanced to face top-seeded Arlington in a winner-to-state, loser-out game on Saturday at Everett Community College.

Mount Vernon ended its season with a 14-7 overall record.

Shorecrest 71, Everett 53

SHORELINE — Second-seeded Shorecrest beat No. 6 Everett in a 3A District 1 Tournament consolation loser-out game on Wednesday night.

Shorecrest (19-4) advanced to face top-seeded Arlington in a winner-to-state, loser-out game on Saturday at Everett Community College.

Everett ended its season with a 11-11 overall record.

2A DISTRICT 1 TOURNAMENT

Lakewood 57, Archbishop Murphy 50

LYNDEN — Justice Taylor scored a game-high 25 points and fourth-seeded Lakewood rallied in the fourth quarter to beat No. 6 Archbishop Murphy in a 2A District 1 Tournament consolation loser-out game on Wednesday night.

The Cougars trailed by two entering the final period, but outscored the Wildcats 17-8 the rest of the way to secure the win.

Blake Conyers scored 11 points and Andrew Molloy added 10 for Lakewood (13-6), which advanced to face No. 3 Burlington-Edison in a winner-to-state, loser-out consolation final on Friday.

Ben Snider scored 16 points and Luke Blachly added 10 for Archbishop Murphy, which finished its season with a 7-13 overall record.

1A DISTRICT 2 TOURNAMENT

Consolation final (winner to crossover, loser out)

Sultan 56, Bear Creek 47

REDMOND — Ninth-seeded Sultan staved off elimination again with a win over No. 5 Bear Creek in a 1A District 2 Tournament consolation loser-out semifinal on Wednesday.

Sultan (14-8), which has won three straight elimination games, advanced to a winner-to-state, loser-out District 1/2 crossover game against Lynden Christian on Saturday.

Bear Creek ended its season with a 10-11 overall record.
