44th LD, House: Donaghy works for schools, veterans

Rep. Brandy Donaghy, candidate for the 44th Legislative District, House, has spoken many times about her proposals on many issues that the Seattle Times attributed to her opponent.
I have been present and heard Donaghy talk about her nuanced approach to public safety, taxes, and transportation.
She does not believe that McCleary fixed the school funding issue. She wants to look at other funding options and modes. K-12 public education is important to prepare students for jobs of the future.
A four-year degree is not the only way to achieve a good paycheck. That’s why Rep. Donaghy has helped bring career and technical education into high school earlier so that students could get a jump start on learning skills and getting a high wage job.
Rep. Donaghy also believes that politicians should stay out of personal health care decisions, including the right to choose.
Besides being a Navy veteran, she has been a community organizer and learned the value of service from her mother who is a nurse.
In Olympia, Brandy will continue to work to increase funding opportunities for veterans, improve training for law enforcement, and increase affordability for Washington families.
I agree with The Herald that people should vote for Rep. Brandy Donaghy.
I certainly will.
