Clase homers twice, AquaSox surge past Canadians

EVERETT — Jonatan Clase hit two home runs, stole three bases and scored four runs out of the leadoff spot as the Everett AquaSox continued their recent offensive surge with a 10-6 win over the Vancouver Canadians on Tuesday night to open a six-game series at Funko Field.
Trailing 6-4, Harry Ford doubled in Clase in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull Everett within one. Ford later scored what proved to be the winning run on a throwing error by Canadians shortstop Josh Kasevich.
Locklear and Ben Ramirez added home runs for the AquaSox, who have scored 39 runs in their past three games, all wins, after scoring no more than four in their first six.
Kelvin Nunez (2-0), Logan Rinehart, Kyle Hill and Peyton Alford combined to throw 5.1 innings of scoreless relief for Everett (4-5).
Rainer Nunez drove in three runs for Vancouver (4-2).
