For the first time ever, the PUD is throwing a blowout out bash to celebrate Earth Day and we want you, our customers, to be our VIP guests.

Our inaugural Energy Block Party will happen from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, at our headquarters, at 2320 California St. in Everett. This will be a fun, family-friendly event with something for everyone, including:

• A Truckstravaganza (aka Touch-A-Truck)! If you like trucks, this part the of the event is for you. We’ll have opportunities for you to visit with our lineworkers and check out bucket trucks, digger trucks and vactor trucks. Thanks to our community partners, you can also marvel at a fire engine, a SWAT bearcat, an all-electric bus and more.

• An electric vehicle car show. Thinking about going electric but don’t know where to start? Come by and get information from your neighbors, find out what they really think of their EVs and hear advice about the buying process.

• Free giveaways! We’ll be hosting an open house where you can get free items to help your home be more efficient — and even win a tree for your home. You’ll also be able to chat with energy experts and customer service representatives, and you can find out about jobs at the PUD.

• Children’s activities. The PUD’s Education team will host a booth where children can build mason-bee houses, butterfly feeders or hummingbird feeders. We’ll also have mascots available for meet-and-greets and demonstrations of our famous ARC Trailer.

• Food. This bash will feature Dick’s Drive-In Food Truck and Ryan’s REZ-ipes, which was recently named The Herald’s Best Food Truck of Snohomish County.

As a public power utility, it’s really important to us to be engaged in the communities we serve. We are here to serve you and we look forward to getting the chance to spend some time with you at this fun event, and to thank you for being our customers.
