MARYSVILLE — Marysville native Bradford Loomis, now a Nashville musician, returns home for a June 30 gig at the Red Curtain Arts Center.

Bradford Loomis cut his musical teeth at Marysville Pilchuck High School as part of the class of 1997 and a member of the honor choir.

“Bradford’s music lives where passionate soul and the homespun eloquence of Americana storytelling intersect — a place he calls Rhythm & Roots,” a Red Curtain news release states. “He employs this blend to speak to the raw reality of the human condition with fierce optimism: sharing tales shaped by grief and longing, colored by wistfulness and regret yet lifted by enduring hope, humility, grace, and love. Bradford’s evocative storytelling comes alive through his powerful vocals, gliding from a whisper to a roar and taking his listeners along for the ride.”

Writes Loomis in his online bio, “We are uniquely wired for narrative. It’s how we pass on our history, impart our wisdom and build connections with each other. We see ourselves in the stories of others. We can put ourselves in their shoes and have empathy.”

Tickets are $22 for adults, $18 for seniors and students. They’re available at redcurtainfoundation.org/live-music, or by calling 360-322-7402.

The Red Curtain Arts Center is located at 9315 State Ave., Suite J — in the Goodwill shopping center, behind the EvCC cosmetology school.
