Police: 1 killed, 1 arrested after crash on Everett Mall Way

EVERETT — A man was killed Wednesday morning in a single-car crash in Everett, police said.

Around 8 a.m., an SUV going west on Everett Mall Way crashed into a signpost at the intersection of Everett Mall Way and Evergreen Way. Authorities declared the SUV’s passenger dead at the scene.

Everett police arrested the driver for investigation of vehicular homicide. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

Traffic on Everett Mall Way was shut down for about four hours because of the crash.
