Lake Stevens 77, Marysville Pilchuck 37
MARYSVILLE — Devin Freeman led nine scorers with 20 points, and the Vikings built a big lead early in a non-league victory over the Tomahawks.
Brian Tilghman scored 13 points, Javon McFerrin added 10 and Brody Pierpoint chipped in nine for Lake Stevens (1-0). The Vikings led 42-11 at halftime.
Michael Taylor netted 10 points and Max Tchelouchikin seven to pace Marysville Pilchuck (o-1).
Cascade 52, Mariner 24
EVERETT — Aidan Kopra led a balanced attack with 12 points and the Bruins rode a strong defensive effort to a non-league win over the Marauders.
Makai Brown added 11 points and Zach Palmer eight for Cascade (1-0), which built a 20-4 lead in the first quarter. Nine different Bruins scored.
Stavontai McSwain paced Mariner (0-1) with seven points.

Lakewood 68, Marysville Pilchuck 8
ARLINGTON — Leiana Riveira and Krystle Raymond scored 14 points apiece, and the Cougars cruised to a non-league win over the Tomahawks.
Elle Agee chipped in seven rebounds, Emma Tocco had five steals and four assists and Aaliyah Hine chipped in five steals for Lakewood (1-0), which held Marysville Pilchuck scoreless in the second half.
The Tomahawks fell to 0-1.
Arlington 75, Lake Stevens 71
ARLINGTON — Samara Morrow went off for 38 points and dished out 10 assists, and the Eagles battled back from a 14-point halftime deficit for a tight non-league victory over the Vikings.
Morrow hit five 3-pointers and went 9 of 10 at the free-throw line. Kierra Reese netted 14 points and Katie Snow and Rachel Snow chipped in six apiece for Arlington (1-0).
Nisa Ellis led a balanced effort with 13 points, Griffyn Eyman and Tessa Anastasi each had 11 and Noelani Tupua added 10 for Lake Stevens (0-1).
Ballard 53, Edmonds-Woodway 46
EDMONDS — Natalie Durbin scored a game-high 23 points, but the Warriors dropped the non-league game against the Beavers.
Indira Carey-Boxley had a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds for Edmonds-Woodway 1-0).
Clara Haynes led Ballard (1-0) with 19 points.
Mariner 33, Marysville Getchell 31
EVERETT — The Marauders earned the non-league win in a defensive battle with the Chargers.
Mariner improved 1-0.
Fran’shay Wright scored a game-high 15 points for Marysville Getchell (0-1).
