EVERETT — Ryan Cheeseman tripled and went 1-for-2 with three RBI as Stanwood defeated Arlington 5-2 in Class 3A District 1 winner-to-state, loser-out contest.
Aidan O’Neil went six innings in a start on the mound and picked up the win, tallying five strikeouts with two walks for the Spartans (14-9), allowing eight hits .
Camden Knudson was 2-for-3 at the plate for the Eagles (12-12).

SHORELINE — Isaak Abraham and Jackson Smith each netted goals as Shorewood topped Edmonds-Woodway 2-1 in a Class 3A District 1 title match.
Kincaid Sund scored off an assist from Alexander Bryan for the Warriors (13-3-3). The Stormrays improved to 17-1-1 on the season.
