EVERETT — School’s out, so kids and teens have fled the classroom to soak up the summer sun at home.

However, schools aren’t deserted, with many districts opening their doors to continue feeding the community.

Many school districts have launched programs to make sure free breakfasts and lunches are available to kids who need them in summer months.

Note that most locations will be closed July 4.
