Woman suffers severe burns in Lynnwood house fire

LYNNWOOD — A woman was rushed to the hospital after suffering serious burns in a Sunday night house fire in Lynnwood, authorities said.

Around 5:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire in the 6200 block of 185th Place SW. When they arrived, crews found flames and smoke at a two-story house, according to South County Fire.

A woman, who is in her 50s, was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, fire officials said. Crews evaluated another person for smoke inhalation at the scene. Firefighters rescued a dog from the home.

The Red Cross reported it was assisting four residents displaced from the home.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
