Why isn’t county’s fireworks ban being enforced?

So many of those living around us in the Meadowdale Park area (we live on 156th St. SW) were so pleased when fireworks were prohibited in Snohomish County several years ago, but I have yet to understand why this law was passed since it never seems to be enforced.

Every July 4, New Year’s Eve and Seahawk touchdowns (to a lesser extent) sound like the pre-invasion D-Day bombardment. Hard to believe that our sheriff deputies and police in making their normal rounds apparently can’t hear this. It always sounds like it’s coming from the same locations, so couldn’t be too hard to find.
