Gallery North, 401 Main St., Edmonds, gallerynorthedmonds.com

Where the Light Finds Us: Gallery North is pleased to present the work of artist Lynn Dong from June 1–30. Lynn’s paintings explore the quiet ways light moves through the world—across sky, water, and bloom. Each piece captures a fleeting moment, inviting reflection, stillness, peace, and a sense of connection.

Lynn currently works primarily in acrylics, with a focus on landscapes. Inspired by Sorolla, Sargent, Monet, and Renoir, she is drawn to exploring light, color, and atmosphere. What began as a pandemic hobby in 2021 quickly grew into a dedicated painting practice, and she now brings a thoughtful contemporary perspective to the gallery.

In Lynn’s words: “I love to explore light, color, and atmosphere. Whether painting a fleeting sunrise or striving to capture a likeness in a portrait, I seek to evoke a sense of place and feeling that transcends the canvas. Through each brushstroke, I aim to create art that reflects the world around me while inviting the viewer into a timeless, emotional experience.”

Please join us for these opportunities to meet the artist and explore the exhibition:

Artist Reception: Saturday, June 13, 1-4 p.m.

Edmonds Art Walk: Thursday, June 18, 5-8 p.m.

Gallery Hours with the Artist: Lynn will be at the gallery on Saturdays, June 6, 13, 20, and 27, from 2-5 p.m.

Gallery North has been in operation since 1961 as it continues its mission to promote established and emerging local artists in the heart of beautiful downtown Edmonds.
