Applicants sought for Snohomish County Boundary Review Board

EVERETT — Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers is seeking applicants for the county’s Boundary Review Board.

The quasi-judicial body rules on proposed annexations and incorporations for cities and special purpose districts. The board consists of five members. The open seat will be filled by Somers, with the others appointed by the governor, the county mayors and the board itself.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on June 30. The application is online at snohomishcountywa.gov/onlinebcbaform. For mor information email karen.anderson@snoco.org.

The unexpired term for this vacant position ends Jan. 31, 2027. Full board terms are four years.

Applicants must be a Snohomish County resident, should have the ability to evaluate technical information and apply state statutes to decision making. The appointee cannot be an elected official, employee or consultant for any governmental entity in the county.

The board meets evenings in alternating months. Meetings may be canceled if there are no agenda items.

The board benefits from members who can share both professional and residential experiences in Snohomish County. Applicants are encouraged to include any information they deem applicable.
