Everett, Mukilteo school districts seek back-to-school donations

EVERETT — Both Everett Public Schools and the Mukilteo School District are hosting “Stuff the Bus” donation drives this week to help collect school supplies for their classrooms.
The Mukilteo School District is looking for donations of both school supplies and non-perishable snacks, it wrote on its website. School supplies needed include backpacks, pencils, crayons, colored markers, colored pencils, composition notebooks and 3-ring binders. It is also looking for donations of non-perishable snacks like granola bars, popcorn, cereal cups, crackers and shelf-stable milk or juices.
Everett Public Schools is seeking donations of backpacks, notebooks, pencils, erasers, scissors, colored pencils, highlighters and markers, among other items, according to its website.
The Mukilteo School District will collect donations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday at multiple locations around the district’s area. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the district will collect donations at the Everett Walmart, located at 1605 SE Everett Mall Way. On Thursday, it will collect donations at the QFC located at 11700 Mukilteo Speedway in Mukilteo. On Friday, it will collect donations at a Safeway located at 14826 Highway 99 in Lynnwood.
Everett Public Schools volunteers will collect donations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Fred Meyer located at 12906 Bothell-Everett Highway in Mill Creek and at the QFC located at 4919 Evergreen Way in Everett.
