Sounds of Africa event to return to Everett on Saturday

EVERETT — A Lynnwood nonprofit will host a cultural festival featuring hours of African music and food in an Everett park this weekend.

The Washington West African Center plans to host the fourth annual Sounds of Africa festival from 1-7 p.m. Saturday at Garfield Park, located at 2300 Walnut Street in Everett.

The event is intended to celebrate traditions, music and heritage of African culture, according to the organization’s website. It will feature food vendors, performances from musicians and dance groups, as well as a fashion show displaying African clothing.
