Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation board seeks new members

EVERETT — The Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation Board of Directors is seeking new members passionate about making a difference for public libraries.

Applicants must be residents of Snohomish or Island counties and submit their applications by Aug. 28, a press release said. Applications are online at bit.ly/4wEpWEl.

Board members serve three-year terms and can serve up to three consecutive terms. The Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation Board oversees fundraising efforts, finances and operations policies. The foundation is looking for candidates with experience in organizing capital campaigns and representatives from the corporate and business sectors.

Previous non-profit experience is appreciated but not required.

“The Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation is the Library District’s lead fundraising partner helping secure philanthropic support,” Board President Sami Postma said in the release. “Directors play a key role in supporting the Foundation’s fundraising efforts and leveraging resources to expand the library’s life-changing programs and services.”

The Library District serves 800,000 residents through 23 locations and a mobile library. The foundation values the unique experiences of board members from diverse backgrounds and communities.
