Housing Hope praised for Commerce Building preservation
The Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation named Everett’s Housing Hope as recipient of the State Historic Preservation Officer’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Historic Preservation. Housing Hope has a 30-year track record of owning and maintaining the National Register listed Commerce Building in downtown Everett. The restored floors include studio apartments and retail spaces on the ground floor.
New Sno-Isle Libraries managers added in Snohomish, Darrington
Sno-Isle Libraries has named the new managers of its libraries in Snohomish and Darrington. Darlene Weber is new interim manager of Snohomish Library. She replaces Rebecca Loney, who is now Sno-Isle Libraries director of technical services. Asheley Bryson is new interim manager of Darrington Library. She replaces Bryan Stratton, who is now circulation supervisor at Lake Stevens Library.
EdCC to host open house
Edmonds Community College is hosting an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. May 6 at the Triton Student Center in Brier Hall, 20000 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. Campus tours will leave the Triton Student Center every 10 minutes. A housing barbecue and tour is also available at that time to discuss housing options. Food festival planned at Lynnwood Convention Center
Food Revolution Snohomish County, a movement aimed at encouraging growing, cooking and eating real food, brings the Celebration of Food Festival to Lynnwood from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 17 at the Lynnwood Convention Center. The festival is a free, family event where participants can taste, explore, and experience real food from Snohomish County and beyond.
