The 2023 Ford Escape Platinum AWD compact SUV is designed to make everyday life easier.

It’s equipped, better than ever, to conquer daily adventures – from heavy traffic, to lunch with co-workers, or maneuvering into the last parking spot at the mall. It shines in the city and for quick errands or weekend getaways.

Powered by a 2.0-liter, EcoBoost, four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, Escape delivers 250 horsepower at 5,500 rpm, 280 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm , 400-mile range, and 31 miles per gallon down the highway.

For those looking for more fuel economy, the full-hybrid model provides fuel economy in the 40’s along with a range of more than 550 miles. Escape comes in Base, ST-Line, Active, Platinum, and Plug-In Hybrid trims.

The curvaceous exterior is highlighted by active grille shutters, rear spoiler, 19-inch machined aluminum wheels, panoramic vista roof, LED signature lighting and a “Silver Metallic” coat of enamel.

“Not every customer wants a rugged and boxy SUV, so we’ve made the new Escape more energetic, confident and sleeker,” said Amko Leenarts, director, Ford Design. “The Escape interior complements the exterior, with a relaxing space that’s stylish yet comfortable with easy access to technology for the road or staying connected with friends and family.”

The 2023 Escape SUV comes standard with new LED reflector headlamps and signature lighting. Inside is ample seating for up to five along with a rear seat that can slide nearly six-inches – simply move forward to maximize cargo room or slide back for more leg room.

Creature comforts include sport bucket front seats, navigation with voice recognition, wireless Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, 12-volt and USB outlets, and second-row privacy glass.

New available amenities include a 13.2-inch center-stack screen for easy viewing, and available technologies include Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Predictive Speed Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Reverse Brake Assist, and Evasive Steering Assist. Other available amenities include a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel cluster, Rear Parking Sensors, 360-degree camera, and wireless charging pad.

In addition, Ford Power-Up over-the-air software updates are transforming the ownership experience by regularly adding new software features and other improvements that keep making Ford vehicles better over time. Customers can pre-schedule software updates at convenient times – perfect for owners with busy schedules.

Available Ford Co-Pilot360 technology now features Intersection Assist 2.0, which helps clients avoid potential collisions with pedestrians while turning. Escape also debuts Blind Spot Assist, which will alert the driver with a light on the sideview mirror, applying a nudge in the steering system to help caution against an unsafe action in a case where the driver has missed warnings from the Blind Spot Information System. This feature will detect other vehicles and motorcyclists in blind spots.

In summation, Ford’s Escape delivers a comfortable, safe, value-packed riving experience in a domestic wrapper. The vehicle is assembled at Ford’s Louisville, Kentucky assembly plant.
