0-To-60 in 3.3 Seconds, The Fastest Cadillac Ever

Cadillac is adding to its high-performance V-Series family with the 2026 LYRIQ V Premium, the first-ever all-electric vehicle that delivers the brand’s signature performance blended with craftsmanship and technology.

LYRIQ-V is not merely a sporty drive; it’s a truly complete luxury vehicle with a multifaceted, iconic character and performance-driven features that include:

Cadillac-estimated 615 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque

Cadillac-estimated 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds with Velocity Max, making it the quickest Cadillac ever

A multi-layered, unique exterior and interior signature sound

Competitive Mode, which enables a suite of traction management features specifically engineered to increase vehicle agility

Power is achieved by a dual-motor, all-wheel drive electric system paired with a one-speed automatic (reduction gear) transmission. Top speed is governed at 130 miles per hour. And when I goosed the pedal at a freeway speed of 70, LYRIQ-V’s torque quickly delivered 104 miles per hour. LYRIQ-V includes a 102 kilowatt-hour battery pack that will enable a Cadillac-estimated 285 miles of range.

“V-Series captures the spirit of Cadillac, embodying our relentless pursuit of engineering excellence through our racing and production vehicles,” John Roth, vice-president of Global Cadillac said. “LYRIQ-V takes this commitment a step further in the EV era, pushing our performance pedigree to new heights with a powerful, personalized, high-tech driving experience that fits perfectly with our customers lives.”

Blistering performance includes an advanced adaptive suspension, V-mode with launch control, tighter steering for quick response time, powerful Brembo brakes, and performance tires.

One thing missing from electric cars is engine noise. Some folks love it, others do not. Cadillac provides a choice, adding a multi-layered performance sound system that generates interior and exterior sounds to match acceleration, deceleration, and even a simulated engine “rev” when wanted.

The LYRIQ-V features a dramatic, attention-grabbing exterior that includes an illuminated grille, choreographed LED lighting, slim-line vertical headlights, motorized pop-out door handles, a lowered suspension, panoramic fixed glass roof, 22-inch reverse-rim alloy wheels, and carbon fiber accents.

The interior is a posh and cozy as it gets. Highlights include Nappa leather, heated, ventilated and massage function front seats, 23-speaker AKG audio system with Dolby ATMOS, wireless phone charging, connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, head-up display, tri-zone climate control, rear fold-down armrest with cup holders, ambient lighting heated and power folding side mirrors, and so much more.

On two separate extended drives, my father-in-law, a three-time Cadillac owner back in the day, was blown away by the LYRIQ-V’s combination of power and road manners. The feeling of speed is diminished thanks to the obliteration of road noise and smooth suspension. Seventy miles per hour feels like 50 in the cabin.

LYRIQ-V comes with an extensive list of standard safety features including “Super Cruise”, a hands-free driver-assistance system with a suite of automated safety features like forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning and assist, blind spot steering assist, and rear cross-traffic braking.

Other features add enhanced automatic parking assist, HD surround vision, electronic stability and traction control, and On-Star safety and security services.
