Stanwood country singer Hannah Michelle Weeks will celebrate her debut album with a show in Everett on Saturday night.
The 16-year-old will play songs from “Life’s a Drama” during the 8 p.m. show at Club Broadway, 1611 Everett Ave.
The show also features Goldy McJohn, keyboardist for Steppenwolf.
Weeks recorded her album during a series of trips to Nashville in the past year. The final result finds the singer tackling classic topics like heartache on “You Just Want Me” and the rebellious feelings of youth on “Wild Pony.”
The common thread throughout the album, however, is Weeks’ confident and pure voice.
The singer said she’s received positive feedback from fans since she self-released the album in June.
“I just want to make music that puts a smile on someone’s face,” she said.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com. A free copy of her album is included in the ticket price and will be available at the all-ages show.
