Livestock talk: The Snohomish Conservation District is hosting a “Livestock: A Community Discussion Tied to Climate Change” webinar from 7 to 8:15 p.m. June 2 via Zoom. The webinar will include an introduction to Project Drawdown and information about how livestock management can help fight climate change. The district hopes to learn from you as much as it can provide resources and ideas for where you live. Climbing Clematis: Learn to bring the amazing beauty and variety of clematis to your garden with ease. The Evergreen Arbortetum & Gardens is hosting a “Clematis: Queen of the Climbers” class at 6 p.m. June 9 via Zoom. A Zoom link to the class will be emailed with registration. Laura Watson, a member of the Governing Council of the International Clematis Society, will showcase the splendor of clematis and their amazing variety in color, shape, bloom time and growth habit. Evergreen Arborteum: The Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens is hosting a plant sale 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 19 and noon to 4 p.m. June 20 at American Legion Memorial Park, 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett. Pruning 101: The Evergreen Arbortetum & Gardens is hosting a “Summer Pruning” class at 6 p.m. July 14 via Zoom. A Zoom link to the class will be emailed with registration. Trevor Cameron, general manager of Sunnyside Nursery, will go over basic rules of pruning, concentrating on spring-blooming shrubs (like rhododendrons and azaleas) and thinning of trees for summer health and lasting beauty.
